With the firing of the Philadelphia Eagles' Sean McDermott (Who interestingly enough has the same name as an old friend of mine...), a new one had to be found, and luckily, there was one ready to be lured away.
Through aggressive luring, the Eagles managed to snag DC Jim Washburn out of the water. This latest catch of theirs may land them a much better difference between wins and losses next year, with it in their favor.
Jim Washburn is considered the "pro" at his job, and by many he's the best in the league. With a track record like his, it's no wonder the Eagles flew fast and dove for this hotshot. He used to be the coach of the Tennessee Titans - running with them for a massive 12 years - until yesterday, the 19th of January. Working with the Titans, he was coaching 4 specific players for the head coach's 4-3 scheme, so you can bet that Andy Reid, head coach for the Eagles, was looking for a guy who was good with the 4-3. Pretty good reasoning, right?
So, send Washburn with the Eagles, tie him in with Reid, add a little Michael Vick, maybe some Jason Avant, and then that 10-6 W/L for this past season, and you've got one heck of a season for 2011. Things are changing in the Eagle's nest, and you can certainly expect them to keep the NFC East top position, as they finished with this past year.
Also, don't forget to watch Superbowl XLV on Sunday, February 6th, 2011 at 6:30pm. If you want, you can head to the OIHS gym to watch it on a huge screen. The past couple of years I've enjoyed it, so why not? Oh, and since my favorite team, the Eagles, are out, my money's on the Green Bay Packers for the Super Bowl, and for the win.
It'll be time for P.E. in a little while...
Better get some EGGsercise!
